As a Software Development Engineer in Test - Home, you will lead technical investigations to optimize iOS apps and frameworks by driving reliability and performance improvements with field and internal testing data.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end product reliability using field data insights.
- Design tests and develop automated solutions for the HomeKit framework.
- Analyze and visualize performance data from algorithms and lab test scenarios.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development and QA teams globally.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of programming experience in Python or C/C++ for tool and automation framework development, and 5+ years in a quality or performance focused role on consumer-facing products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in achieving 99.9% end-to-end product reliability.
- Proficiency in data analysis/visualization tools like Splunk and Tableau.
- Experience with tools for analyzing and benchmarking OS, app, and algorithm performance.
- Familiarity with Swift/Objective-C or XCtest.
- Deep understanding of Operating System and Wireless concepts.
- Knowledge of AI/ML and audio/video testing strategies.
- Strong record of technical leadership and project guidance.
Pay & Benefits
Apple offers a base pay range between $147,400 and $272,100 along with comprehensive benefits including medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, educational reimbursements, discretionary bonuses, employee stock programs, and relocation support if eligible.
