Social Program Managers oversee the cross-functional integration of Apple content across all social third-party platforms. Managing the schedule, workflow, program development and creative development of social-led initiatives, while communicating roadblocks and continuously monitoring potential improvements. Social Program Managers ensure seamless operations and provide the necessary support to our creatives, producers, and agency partners — empowering them to deliver world-class narratives about the company, our products, our people, and our culture.
Description
The team is seeking an experienced Social Program Manager to support our PR and Marketing teams. This role requires a high degree of ownership, integrity, accountability, and a deep understanding of managing workflows and the deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the head of editorial and creative director, leading the content production for Instagram handle from PR and agency creative teams.
- Partner closely with social strategy to shape current work and future ambitions of the handle.
- Help define the future scope of work for the handle, aligning it with the strategic aim and budget realities.
- Use your knowledge of social behaviors to impact the work we do and how it shows up in the social sphere.
- Manage and balance the yearly budget for social. Responsible for tracking project spend, quarterly forecasting, PO creation and approvals, finance team management, and agency scope tracking.
- Nurture key relationships within PR and across the wider business, for example, Buzz Marketing, Marcom, PM, Geos, Music, and Services. Work with these teams to identify social content opportunities, build processes, and establish trusted partnerships that can benefit the work.
- Partners on creation of cross-functional schedules to allow for social needs and best practices.
- Overseeing Publishing Calendar, making sure everyone is aligned on upcoming posts/launch timing for all projects.
- Facilitates discussions with internal stakeholders as needed. As well as partnering with Exec Social and PR to ensure all teams are aligned and informed on launch plans.
- Oversee and aid with new platform/feature testing, schedule planning, and acquiring necessary resources.
- Partner closely with Apple Media across all platforms on paid social strategy and opportunities.
- Manage the agency relationships.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in communication/ marketing operations and production with a focus on social media.
- Track record of social implementation and deep expertise in platform management and workflows.
- Strong comprehension of creative process, production, and complex project requirements.
- Understands briefs and recognizes risks and dependencies relevant to the completion of social initiatives.
- Extensive knowledge of social platforms and the changing landscape of these platforms and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing teams of at least 5-10 direct reports.
- Ability to organize information quickly and at a high level to address potential roadblocks and define the best way forward, keeping in mind the quality of the work and giving it room to develop.
- Exceptional organizations, prioritization and time management skills to thrive within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Comfortable presenting complex global program plans and content structures to executive leadership.
- Inventive and enthusiastic problem solver, at ease with working in a dynamic, highly matrixed organization.
- Familiarity with marketing productivity tools, such as Sprinklr, Wrike, Opal, Adobe Experience Manager, Box, frame.io, and Quip.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $182,600 and $274,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
