Server Engineer, Find My at Apple

Description
As an engineer on our team, you'll thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, collaborating closely with a passionate team to achieve a shared mission. Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of validated programming experience
- Strong Java expertise - including but not limited to: Core Java, Multithreading, non-blocking IO
- Shown working experience in all aspects of building customer facing Web services; most importantly authentication, authorization, scaling, availability, spam control and reliability
- Strong knowledge of using data storage and caching technologies like Cassandra, Redis and memcached or similar
- Strong in Java Performance Tuning, scaling Web Services and API definition
- Working knowledge of cryptography standards and protocols (e.g. PKCS, KMIP, X.509, AES, KDF, CA)
- Experience writing REST based services using Netty or similar frameworks
- Knowledge and experience working with CI/CD tools integration/operations, and full automation testing
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a multi-functional team on high-profile, critical projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of web programming languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Familiarity with developing machine learning systems, ML frameworks, libraries and algorithms is desirable but not required.
- Familiarity with GitHub, build and deployment tools like Maven, Docker, Spinnaker, Kubernetes
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
