The Role of a Senior Software QA Engineer, Creativity Applications

As a Senior Software QA Engineer on the Creativity Applications team, you will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality of our features. Your responsibilities will include planning, designing, writing, maintaining, and executing comprehensive test cases. You will drive quality and process improvements, ensuring features are robust and ready for customer release. Success in this role hinges on your ability to report bugs with exceptional isolation and regression techniques, manage diverse deliverables, and effectively communicate progress and risks. Continuous curiosity and self-education in video/photo technologies and new testing techniques will distinguish you. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate testing efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in QA/QE.
  • Proficiency in testing mobile/desktop apps, cloud-based frameworks, and backend/APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, QA terminology, and processes.
  • Experience developing detailed test plans, assessing risks, filing detailed defect reports, and test reporting.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent of 5+ years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience in testing iOS, macOS apps and cloud based frameworks.
  • Experience with photo and video editing workflows using Creative applications.
  • Knowledge of scripting with Python/Swift is a plus.

Pay & Benefits at Apple

Apple offers a competitive total compensation package. The base pay range for this Senior Software QA Engineer, Creativity Applications role is between $117,100 and $209,100, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Employees have the opportunity to participate in Apple Inc.’s discretionary employee stock programs, including restricted stock unit awards and a discounted Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Comprehensive benefits include medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounted products, free services, and tuition reimbursement for career-advancing formal education.
