NFC/SE Quality Engineer at Apple

The WTE Quality team is looking for a motivated, highly technical NFC/SE Quality Engineer with excellent problem solving, communication, and automation skills.

Job Responsibilities

You will join the Quality Assurance team responsible for the functional validation of NFC and Secure Element Operating Systems supporting Apple Pay use cases. Your role includes:

  • Qualifying Secure Element and NFC chipsets integrated into Apple devices.
  • Developing and automating test plans alongside developers and architects.
  • Integrating tests into a continuous integration environment.
  • Collaborating with 3rd party vendors and cross-functional teams.
  • Driving quality improvements in embedded software for Apple Pay and other NFC use cases.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Experience with SQA methodologies and detailed bug reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Git and the Software Development Process.
  • Ability to drive deliverables in a cross functional team environment.
  • Experience working on embedded devices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Java, Obj-C, or Swift.
  • Familiarity with Global Platform, JavaCard, ISO7816, and NFC forum specifications.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience on large multi-functional teams.
