Description

This role leads a team responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end machine learning frameworks that power model building, training, evaluation, and deployment across Apple services. You will collaborate with applied ML, infrastructure, and product teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and ease-of-adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an engineering team building core ML frameworks.
• Define the technical roadmap for shared ML infrastructure across services.
• Partner with applied ML, data science, privacy, and product teams.
• Drive architectural decisions prioritizing scalability, reliability, and privacy.
• Foster a culture of engineering excellence and inclusive collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Experience in production machine learning systems and platforms.
• Strong background in distributed systems and data-intensive applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building shared ML platforms used by multiple teams.
• Deep understanding of the ML lifecycle including training and evaluation.
• Experience operating ML systems at scale in production environments.
• Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and metrics-driven development.
• Strong technical leadership and long-term roadmap ownership.

Pay & Benefits

Base pay range for this role is between $198,300 and $342,800, subject to skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple also offers employee stock programs, comprehensive benefits, and educational reimbursement, among other perks.
