Summary
Great performance is critical to Apple's product experience. As a Machine Learning & Data Scientist, you will perform quantitative analysis on high dimensional data to draw insights impacting hundreds of millions of users.
Description
We are seeking a proactive and impact-driven engineer with excellent machine learning, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. You will analyze large datasets to produce metrics, models, simulations, and tools that drive actionable insights for Apple’s software and hardware performance. A strong foundation in statistical analysis and the ability to develop production level code are required to solve business and product-development problems.
Responsibilities
- Analyze high dimensional data to derive meaningful insights.
- Produce metrics, models, simulations, and analysis tools.
- Apply statistical analysis to business and product challenges.
- Write production level code.
- Influence decisions across Apple by providing actionable insights.
Minimum Qualifications
Strong quantitative foundation in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, with proven skills in data analysis and practical machine learning. Must possess strong software engineering capabilities, data transformation skills (Python & Spark), and effective communication abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
M.S. or Ph.D. in a quantitative field with expertise in distributed computing technologies (HDFS, S3, Iceberg, Spark, Trino), ETL automation (Kubernetes, Airflow), and operating systems. Experience driving cross-functional projects and aligning data insights with company strategy is desirable.
Pay & Benefits
Base pay ranges between $126,800 and $190,900 depending on experience and location. Additional benefits include stock programs, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounted products, educational reimbursement, and potential bonuses or relocation assistance.
