The Health Personalization team at Apple is at the forefront of building innovative technologies to power AI-driven health experiences. This role focuses on providing users with understandable, actionable health information, supporting them in achieving their wellness goals. As part of the broader Sensor Software & Prototyping team, you will contribute to a multimodal approach, leveraging various sensors and user data signals across platforms like camera, wearables, and natural language input. The team is dedicated to developing deeply personal features that anticipate and adapt to user behaviors while upholding Apple's unwavering commitment to privacy.

We are seeking a highly skilled iOS Software Engineer, Generative AI Health with significant software engineering expertise and a proven track record in shipping machine learning features. You will join a fast-growing team of scientists and engineers, developing generative systems that achieve the highest standards of quality, reliability, and human intent alignment. This position demands a self-motivated engineer with strong technical and interpersonal skills, and a keen interest in health and wellness products.

Minimum Qualifications

• MS or PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
• 5+ years of iOS development experience, demonstrating deep knowledge of Swift and proficiency with iOS frameworks such as Swift Data, Core ML, and Foundation Models.
• Hands-on experience developing AI / machine learning-based products and successfully integrating AI/ML models within complex software systems.
• Experience in developing prototypes and demos to facilitate feature definition, ideation, early data collections, and algorithm design.

Preferred Qualifications

• Curiosity about emerging technologies, a flexible mindset, and an interest in contributing to product definition.
• Experience or a strong interest in building consumer digital health and wellness products.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience collaborating effectively with AI / ML Scientists and Engineers.
• Experience with privacy-preserving technologies is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of AI / ML fundamentals, large language models, or hands-on experience with model training and evaluation is a plus.

Pay & Benefits

Apple offers a comprehensive total compensation package, including a competitive base pay ranging from $181,100 to $318,400, determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
