In this role, you will lead a team designing and developing world-class security solutions in the space of Anti-Phishing/Spam, Social Engineering Attack Prevention, and more. You will work with a passionate team to make the Internet safer for everyone. You will build full-stack solutions that handle extremely large volumes of critical data, harnessing the power of NoSQL, Machine Learning, Big Data, and other emerging technologies. Description

We are looking to hire extraordinary individuals with a strong focus on core application development, great communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical teams. As a Manager of this team, you’ll be building groundbreaking software services using cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of engineers while making decisions that affect many cross-functional partners.
  • Remain close to the code and are expected to contribute to code reviews and risk assessments.
  • Represent your team and technology in cross-functional meetings and partner with many different teams within Apple.
  • Help clarify requirements and goals for cross-functional software projects.
  • Plan and lead the design, execution, and post-execution phases of software development.
  • Developing some of the brightest engineers in the industry!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, including 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in implementing data pipelines and applications in Java/Python.
  • Good understanding of various distributed system concepts.
  • Knowledge in Relational and NoSQL Databases, Object Oriented Analysis and Design and Microservices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in designing and architecting large projects for performance, scalability, robustness, and resiliency.
  • Experience working on email platforms, messaging systems, or large-scale anti-spam/anti-abuse programs.
  • Familiarity with ML-based classification systems, rules engines, and adversarial abuse patterns.
  • Proven ability to manage projects with on-time delivery and working experience in Agile development methodology.
  • Innovative, thinks out of the box, and has a strong drive for excellence.
  • Good interpersonal skills. Have good oral/written communication skills.
