Description

The DevOps Engineer will be a key contributor to internal and external-facing AI-driven innovations. This role involves sustaining and enhancing software applications for licensing and fulfillment, as well as automating setup and verification processes. We seek a collaborative and thorough individual capable of building and automating robust software delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and stabilizing environments to ensure smooth production deployments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to internal-facing and external-facing AI-driven innovations.
• Sustain and enhance software applications per business logic and requirements for licensing and fulfillment.
• Build and automate software delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and integrate them with unit and smoke tests.
• Help stabilize all environments and facilitate deployment to the production environment when releases are ready.
• Set up various environments in the public cloud, utilizing applicable services from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Follow Apple Information Security requirements to engineer compliant solutions in the public cloud.
• Automate environment setup and verification, including application-specific software and components.
• Design and implement infrastructure and web application monitoring, and respond to incidents.
• Work with Customer Support, QA, Development, Product Management, and cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve customer issues.
• Participate in on-call shifts to respond to security and infrastructure incidents or customer issues, ensuring no service interruption.
• Understand web-based security and help design and implement solutions to prevent and catch attacks.
• Participate in DevOps project brainstorming, design, implementation, and test phases to deliver effective solutions.
• Participate and share progress through Scrum Ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Continuously learn leading-edge technologies to evolve solutions.
• Report status, conduct demos, share knowledge, and assist team members with workload.
• Rotate through Claris SAAS product support as a designated DevOps Engineer.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 7+ years of proven experience in Development, DevOps, Infrastructure, or IT areas.
• 5+ years of public cloud working experience (AWS certification is a plus).
• Hands-on work experience in setting up AI-enabled tooling/systems or integrating such components.
• Proficiency in languages: Python, Unix shell scripts, JavaScript.
• Experience with security frameworks: Public Key Cryptography, encryption, and Certificates.
• Operating Systems: Linux/Unix.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
• CI/CD and Automation Tools: Jenkins, Terraform, and Helm.
• Cloud Platforms: AWS.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

• Led infrastructure/architectural design and optimization, with strong skills in networking, impact analysis, optimization, and refactoring.
