About the Role
At Apple, new insights rapidly transform into extraordinary products and experiences. As a Core Audio Systems Engineer, you will join the Audio and Media Technologies team to support innovative products like iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Watch, AirPods, HomePod, and more. You will work cross-functionally to reproduce, analyze, and resolve audio-related issues in a dynamic and high visibility environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Understand, reproduce, and characterize incoming audio bugs.
- Develop new triage methods and tools for debugging.
- Collaborate with multiple teams and communicate findings clearly.
- Focus resources on ensuring product quality and exceptional audio experiences.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
- Solid understanding of audio technologies and real-time systems.
- Experience in automation tool development for audio issue triage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A BS or MS in CS, EE, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with iOS and macOS SDK and Core Audio development.
- Knowledge of real-time interactive audio engines and critical listening.
- Familiarity with Python, C, C++, and Objective-C.
