In this role, as a Camera Mechanical Engineer - FEA, you will help design, develop, test, and qualify groundbreaking camera hardware, crafting an innovative photography experience for millions of customers.
Role & Responsibilities
You will design and develop innovative camera systems, working collaboratively across teams to bring creative solutions to life. You will evaluate camera hardware modules and component parts using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Research, design, and develop camera hardware systems
- Utilize FEA tools such as Abaqus, Ansys, or equivalent
- Conduct structural, thermomechanical, and heat transfer modeling
- Calibrate, verify, and validate models through physical testing
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams and external vendors
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Material Science, or similar
Preferred Qualifications
- MS/PhD with 3+ years of industry experience
- Experience in non-linear static and dynamic FEA
- Expertise in fracture mechanics, adhesive materials, electromagnetic, acoustic, and CFD modeling
- Proficiency in Matlab, Python, and Abaqus User Subroutines
