About the Role - Senior Appian Developer

Here at Appian, our core values of Respect, Work to Impact, Ambition, and Constructive Dissent & Resolution define who we are. As a Senior Product Engineer working on the Appian platform, you will ensure the platform is fast, scalable, and capable of handling diverse customer configurations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns in the Appian framework (SAIL, Process Models, Rules, Expressions, and Appian Objects).
  • Engage in light full-stack and mobile development along with integration and testing.
  • Manage product reliability including availability, latency, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Conduct application and code reviews while mentoring junior Product Engineers.
  • Build automation, perform performance tuning, and advocate for code optimizations.

Work Environment & Culture

This role is based at our headquarters in McLean, Virginia, and requires in-office presence 5 days a week to support our culture of in-person collaboration and team-driven success.
