The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for recruiting, leading, and developing sales teams in a geographic territory, ensuring financial goals are met or exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
Directly lead Independent and Direct Sales Reps. Recruit, train, and motivate the sales and estimating team effectively to support the company's sales and marketing objectives. Coach, mentor, and develop the sales team to improve their effectiveness and meet overall sales objectives. Manage Sales Reps in the territory, setting expectations, measuring activities, and assessing results.
Strategic Program and Project Management
Participate in or lead process improvement initiatives. Manage business development activities for the region, identifying prospective customers, influencers, representatives, and sales channels. Develop and implement plans to improve market share, positioning, and increase sales and profitability. Drive sales development to identify ideal customers and projects, maximizing resource use and prioritizing opportunities that value the company's premium brand and products. Lead regional efforts to identify and onboard strong distribution partners.
