About the Role

The Event Captain at Apicii Hospitality oversees and executes private and semi-private events at HARTA, BAR HARTA WINE TERRACE, BAR CIMA, and TACALLE. This role ensures seamless event execution and exceptional guest experiences by liaising with event staff, kitchen team, and the Catering Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Review event orders (BEOs) with the Catering Sales Manager and chefs.
  • Oversee banquet space setup ensuring compliance with event specifications.
  • Conduct pre-event briefings assigning duties to servers and bartenders.
  • Lead event staff to deliver efficient, professional and courteous service.
  • Act as the primary client contact addressing last-minute changes.
  • Assist with food and beverage service when needed.
  • Handle service issues and perform post-event evaluations.
  • Manage cleanup, equipment storage, and report operational issues.
  • Process transactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Comply with company policies, food safety, and health regulations.

Must Haves

  • Experience as a Captain in restaurant or banquet settings.
  • Knowledge of POS systems and basic food safety regulations.
  • Customer-centric with flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods; must lift up to 25 pounds.
