About The Role
As a Lead Engineer Mainframe DB2 Administration in NZ Technology Domain, you will support and maintain the Bank's operational infrastructure in the Mainframe environment. You will ensure that IAAS meets Business Service Delivery targets while maintaining currency, stability, and availability of all services.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Articulate complex mainframe concepts in a simple manner.
- Perform Mainframe DB2 administration including installs and version upgrades.
- Manage incident, problem, and change support activities.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting and coding skills.
- Implement backup, availability, and DR procedures.
- Collaborate, coach, and mentor team members.
What You Will Bring
- 10+ years of Mainframe DB2 system admin experience.
- Hands-on experience with DB2 upgrades and product installations.
- Expertise in automating incident alerts and threshold monitoring.
- Strong z/OS, RACF, network, and storage knowledge.
- Experience with disaster recovery and DR/failover setups.
- Proficient in Assembler/REXX/Cobol and mainframe performance management.
