Role Summary

Under the supervision of the development manager, the successful Full Stack Developer will be responsible for completing tasks within the framework of ongoing development and operation of a wireless in-flight service and entertainment solution. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will work on a multitude of projects in a Linux environment. Specifically, you will develop various web modules and components, primarily using Angular 2+ for both delivery and generic product. You will also be involved in the analysis of new features or updates across projects coded in a varied technology stack.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop/Update Web portals using Angular 2+, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS.
• Ensure the compatibility of mock-ups on different browsers.
• Set-up development and production environment using standard Linux tools and software.
• Analyze project specifications and provide relevant suggestions.
• Be involved in architectural design and analysis with architects and other team leads.
• Work on existing modules/components and applications for maintenance when required.
• Solve problems due to technical limitations for certain platforms.
• Determine tasks to be carried out using Jira.
• Estimate development time.
• Carry out preliminary tests and unit tests.
• Carry out necessary adjustment following recommendations from quality assurance.
• Validate and test the Software in a variety of portable electronic devices.
• Create/update the documentation throughout development.
• Collaborate with parties involved throughout the project.
• Keep abreast with new Web integration technologies.

What We’re Looking For

• College or university diploma related to computer science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Web development (OOP).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Python (ideally Pyramid).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Web (HTML, CSS/SASS/LESS, JavaScript, Angular 8).
• Considerable experience working with Linux and LAMP architecture.
• Experience using RESTful/JSON API development.
• Experience of development in Linux environment (Perl, Bash).
• Experience of DevOps (AWS, Docker, Jenkins).
• Server configuration experience is an asset: Web, DNS, DHCP, Memcached.
• Experience working on other Javascript frameworks is an asset: Meteor, React.
• Experience with Python and the following Python frameworks is an asset: Falcon, Pyramid.
• English required.
