About The Role

As an Applied AI team member at Anthropic, you will serve as a Pre-Sales technical advisor for national security and defense agencies. You will leverage your technical expertise and customer-facing skills to architect innovative LLM solutions while ensuring safety and reliability.

• Guide customers from technical discovery to deployment.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Design scalable architectures using Claude’s capabilities.
• Advise on integration of cloud and enterprise systems.
• Travel frequently for workshops and deep dives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with account executives to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Act as the primary technical advisor throughout Claude adoption.
• Coordinate with multiple internal teams to drive customer success.
• Support customers building with Claude API and Claude for Enterprise.
• Create and deliver compelling technical content.
• Guide technical architecture decisions and integration with existing stacks.
• Help develop evaluation frameworks to measure performance.
• Identify integration patterns and provide feedback to Product and Engineering.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of LLM capabilities and best practices.

You May Be a Good Fit If You Have

• TS/SCI clearance and experience with US national security agencies.
• 5+ years in technical customer-facing roles (e.g., Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer).
• Experience managing complex buying cycles with multiple stakeholders.
• Exceptional technical communication and relationship building skills.
• Proficiency in designing scalable cloud architectures and integration with enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with Python and common LLM frameworks.
• A passion for mentoring and collaborating across organizations.
• Strong interpersonal skills to translate complex concepts for varied audiences.

Compensation & Logistics

The annual salary for this role is between $240,000 and $270,000 USD. A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) is required. Anthropic follows a location-based hybrid policy with at least 25% office attendance and offers visa sponsorship where possible.
