About The Role
As a Protective Intelligence Analyst at Anthropic, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating threats to Anthropic's people, facilities, operations, and reputation. You will work at the intersection of intelligence analysis, threat management, and executive protection producing actionable intelligence that informs security decisions across the organization. As one of the first hires on the Protective Intelligence team, you will shape the program from the ground up by establishing workflows, analytical standards, and stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities
- Conduct all-source intelligence collection and analysis of physical security threats
- Produce clear, well-sourced analytical reports for various stakeholders
- Provide intelligence support for executive protection and travel security
- Monitor open-source channels, social media, deep and dark web for emerging threats
- Investigate and triage concerning online communications and threats
- Track geopolitical developments and sector-specific threat trends
- Build relationships with external intelligence partners and law enforcement
You May Be a Good Fit If You
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field
- Have 8+ years in protective intelligence, threat assessment, or related fields
- Are proficient in OSINT tradecraft and specialized intelligence tools
- Have experience with threat assessment methodologies and clear communication skills
- Can manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
Strong Candidates May Also Have
- Experience in high-growth tech companies or startups
- Knowledge of risks unique to the AI sector
- Related professional certifications or intelligence credentials
- Familiarity with privacy law and legal considerations
- Experience with link analysis, data visualization, or geospatial intelligence tools
Additional Information
Anthropic is headquartered in San Francisco. The role includes a location-based hybrid policy, requiring staff presence in an office at least 25% of the time.
