About The Role

As an MCP Engineer on Anthropic's Enterprise team, you will be a hands-on technical bridge between Anthropic and our strategic partners developing Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. You will serve as the first line of technical defense by consulting with partners, resolving technical challenges, and accelerating enterprise deployments in critical verticals like Financial Services, Life Sciences, and Healthcare. Your work directly supports partner success in building and deploying MCP integrations at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate partner MCP server architectures for security, scalability, and compliance.
  • Guide partners through OAuth and enterprise authentication implementations.
  • Provide technical consultation on deployment models, infrastructure patterns, and hosting architectures.
  • Debug integration issues and offer hands-on technical support.
  • Triage technical issues and escalate to appropriate Anthropic teams.
  • Improve self-serve resources/documentation based on partner feedback.
  • Collaborate with product teams to evolve the MCP protocol.
  • Participate in partner technical forums, developer communities, and industry events.
  • Contribute to joint solution development and reference architecture creation.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in technical partner-facing or customer-facing engineering roles.
  • Strong programming skills and debugging across multiple languages.
  • Deep understanding of authentication protocols like OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect.
  • Experience with API integrations, SDKs, and developer tools.
  • Experience developing local and remote MCPs.
  • Expertise in enterprise deployment, containerization, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Passion for developer experience and partner success.

Compensation & Logistics

Base annual salary range is $300,000 - $320,000 USD. This full-time role includes equity, benefits, and possible incentive compensation. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.

Location-based hybrid policy: Staff are expected to work from an office at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more onsite presence. Visa sponsorship is available subject to internal criteria.
