About Anthropic
Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems, ensuring AI is safe and beneficial for users and society. Our team comprises dedicated researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders committed to building beneficial AI systems.
Anthropic is actively seeking an Immigration Coordinator to manage and streamline our immigration processes for both current and prospective employees. This role is crucial for enabling us to attract and hire the best global talent. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel to support business immigration cases, ensuring full compliance while delivering an outstanding experience for candidates and employees throughout their visa and green card journeys. Additionally, you will play a key role in driving process improvements across our immigration operations, maintaining clear documentation and policies that support Anthropic's expanding international presence.
Responsibilities
- Work with internal teams and external counsel to support the business immigration process for employees and candidates. This involves outlining visa case factors, coordinating document collection, tracking SLAs, and maintaining data integrity.
- Provide exceptional "white-glove service" to internal clients, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate and employee experience through clear, kind, and responsive communication.
- Ensure domestic and international compliance from an employer perspective, overseeing immigration accounts and proper documentation storage (e.g., E-Verify, MyUSCIS, Google Drive).
- Identify and collaborate on process improvement initiatives within our immigration processes, ensuring documentation and policies are up-to-date, accessible, and easily understandable for all team members.
Qualifications
You may be a good fit if you:
- Are a strong communicator, especially in writing, as you will manage a high volume of email correspondence.
- Are reliable and highly responsive, capable of fielding time-sensitive and urgent questions and requests.
- Are organized and detail-oriented, managing critical and time-sensitive immigration processes effectively.
- Are service-oriented, viewing internal teams as clients deserving an incredible service experience.
- Have 3+ years of immigration experience.
Strong candidates may also:
- Have experience in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Possess a strong passion for immigration work.
Compensation and Logistics
The annual compensation range for this role is $115,000—$130,000 USD.
- Education requirements: A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
- Location-based hybrid policy: All staff are currently expected to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time, though some roles may require more.
- Visa sponsorship: Anthropic does sponsor visas and makes every reasonable effort to secure one for successful candidates, retaining an immigration lawyer for assistance.
How We're Different
At Anthropic, we believe in "big science" AI research, working as a cohesive team on large-scale efforts focused on steerable, trustworthy AI. We value impact and view AI research as an empirical science, akin to physics and biology. We foster an extremely collaborative environment with frequent research discussions, emphasizing strong communication skills.
Our research directions are best understood by reading our recent work, which continues themes from prior team contributions like GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a collaborative office space.
