About The Role
As an Enterprise Account Executive on Anthropic's Industrials team, you will drive the adoption of safe, frontier AI by securing strategic deals with key players in manufacturing, energy, aerospace, automotive, and heavy industry. You will utilize your consultative sales expertise within industrial markets to foster revenue growth and establish yourself as a trusted partner to industry stakeholders. Our goal is to assist them in embedding and deploying AI across their engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality functions, unlocking its full potential. - Analyze industrial market landscapes, trends, and dynamics to translate high-level plans into targeted sales activities and campaigns.
- Lead market expansion efforts by identifying new use cases within engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, maintenance, and field service.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to differentiate our offerings for industrial applications.
- Navigate complex industrial stakeholder ecosystems, including engineering leadership, operations leaders, plant managers, and supply chain teams, to build consensus and drive deals forward.
- Inform product roadmaps and features by gathering feedback from industrial users and communicating market needs. Provide insights that enhance our value proposition for industrial organizations.
- Continuously refine the industrial sales methodology by integrating learnings into playbooks, templates, and best practices. Identify process improvements to optimize sales productivity and consistency across manufacturing, energy, aerospace, and automotive organizations.
You may be a good fit if you have
- 5+ years of enterprise sales experience specifically within the industrials sector, with a proven track record covering manufacturing, energy, aerospace, and automotive organizations.
- A history of managing complex sales cycles within industrial organizations and closing strategic deals by understanding both technical requirements and industrial use cases.
- Extensive experience negotiating complex agreements within industrial procurement frameworks, including a solid grasp of engineering-led evaluation and safety review cycles.
- Proven success in exceeding revenue targets in the industrial sector through effective pipeline management and sales process execution.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present confidently to diverse industrial audiences, from plant managers and engineers to engineering and operations leadership.
- A deep understanding of industrial buying cycles, decision-making processes, and key pain points across manufacturing, energy, aerospace, and automotive industries.
- A strategic, analytical approach to assessing the industrial market, combined with creative, tactical execution to capture opportunities.
- A passion for and/or experience with advanced AI systems and their applications in industrial settings. You are committed to ensuring the safe development of frontier AI systems.
- The ability to develop and refine industrial use cases for AI in collaboration with customers, with a specific focus on engineering productivity, technical documentation, supply chain, quality, and maintenance workflows.

How We're Different
At Anthropic, we believe that high-impact AI research is a large-scale scientific endeavor. Our team operates cohesively on a few significant research initiatives. We prioritize impact—advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI—over addressing smaller, more specific challenges. We approach AI research as an empirical science, drawing parallels with fields like physics and biology, rather than solely relying on traditional computer science methods. Our highly collaborative environment features frequent research discussions to ensure we are focusing on the most impactful work at any given time. Consequently, strong communication skills are highly valued.
To best understand our research directions, we recommend reviewing our recent publications. These publications continue many of the research paths our team explored prior to Anthropic, including work on GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
