About the Role

The Application Security Engineer at Anthropic is a hands-on technical position that integrates security into every phase of the software development lifecycle. In this role, you will work closely with software engineers and researchers to ensure security is prioritized from design through implementation.

  • Lead threat modeling and secure design reviews
  • Develop tools to enable secure coding best practices
  • Manage vulnerability programs and bug bounty initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security in processes
  • Develop security policies, standards, and training for engineers

Responsibilities

  • Secure AI products and internal tools facing novel security risks.
  • Conduct secure design reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments.

  • Oversee the vulnerability management and bug bounty programs.
  • Advocate for best practices like least privilege and defense-in-depth.
