Operations Supervisor at Animal Humane Society

Step into a rewarding role where your passion for leading people and caring for animals shines. At Animal Humane Society, you will guide a dedicated team to support and care for animals within our shelters.

Day in the Life

  • Lead a team of Animal Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Veterinary Technicians
  • Provide on-floor coaching and conduct 1:1 meetings
  • Train new employees and manage performance
  • Ensure daily staffing, schedule reviews, and administrative tasks
  • Coordinate with other supervisors and manage supply purchasing and budgeting

Schedule & Compensation

This is a full time (40 hours/week) position with shifts from Sundays to Thursdays, some day and some evening shifts between 7am and 8pm. Pay is $25/hour depending upon experience.

Essential Functions

  • Monitor shelter practices, sanitation, and animal care protocols
  • Assist with inventory management and schedule adjustments
  • Review digital records and provide employee coaching
  • Manage communication with customers and promote inclusion

Leadership & Administrative Duties

  • Supervise and develop direct reports
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings
  • Oversee training and timecard approvals using ADP
  • Handle supply orders, budgeting, and documentation

Additional Information

Be prepared to work in an environment that may be dirty, wet, warm, and humid. The role may expose you to zoonotic diseases, animal bites or scratches, and extreme weather conditions. Reliable transportation is required.
