Job Description
The Financial Accountant on the Financial Reporting team supports efficient Record to Report processes while ensuring robust controls across Marketing entities. Reporting to the Team Lead, you will work with stakeholders across Metal businesses to design, implement and optimize systems that deliver accurate business and financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive efficient Finance operations and manage ITP, ITC, RTR processes.
- Engage with stakeholders to implement financial controls and document processes.
- Design and optimize transaction communication and workflow processes.
- Deliver monthly financial reporting, statements, and board papers.
- Collaborate on technology transformation to automate manual tasks.
- Lead and mentor junior accountants and analysts.
Technology Transformation & Continuous Improvement
Work with Information Management to implement technology upgrades, automate processes, and manage user acceptance testing for new systems like SAP S4/Hana, Blackline, and HFM.
Project Leadership
Take ownership of financial accounting processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and minimize control weaknesses.
Qualifications
- Excellent academic credentials in accountancy or business-related degrees.
- Strong knowledge of Finance Operations (ITP/ITC/RTR) and internal controls.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of IT solutions and financial systems like SAP, Blackline, HFM.
