Job Description
The Occupational Therapist (OT) will implement treatment programs to assist pediatric patients with physical, cognitive, sensory, and social/emotional disabilities or delays. This role involves planning and administering occupational therapy interventions in the home and community settings.
Responsibilities
- Provides high-quality care by performing evaluations and interpreting assessment results, developing child-appropriate goals, and creating/implementing occupational therapy treatment plans in conjunction with the physician.
- Assists pediatric and young adult patients in areas of physical, neurological, cognitive, sensory, feeding, ADLs, and social/emotional development, maximizing individual potential through skilled interventions.
- Educates, coaches, and empowers caregivers and families to carry over therapeutic activities into the child's daily routine.
- Coordinates with referral partners to provide services for children as per physician orders.
- Designs and instructs patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs to ensure continuation of the therapeutic plan post-discharge.
- Documents patient care services and care coordination accurately in an intuitive electronic medical record system.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.

- State license
- Current CPR certification
- A minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
