Overview

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. The Senior Flight Sciences Engineer will develop guidance and control laws, conduct aerodynamic design & analysis, create flight simulations, and lead testing efforts for a wide range of unmanned aerial systems.

About the Team

The Tactical Recon and Strike team develops small aerial drone systems including Ghost, Anvil, Bolt, and Altius. They work closely with specialist teams to solve complex challenges in autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize aerodynamic designs, using CFD and analysis tools.
  • Design and maintain high-fidelity flight simulation models.
  • Plan and execute flight and wind tunnel tests with detailed data analysis.
  • Collaborate with flight test teams to validate simulation and test findings.
  • Prepare technical reports and briefings for stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of applicable experience with airborne platforms.
  • Experience in aerodynamic design, flight simulation, and flight testing.
  • Proficient with CFD tools, MATLAB/Simulink, and programming (MATLAB, C++).
  • US person status required for access to export controlled information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with flight control design for fixed/rotary wing or missile systems.
  • Expertise in C/C++ and Simulink Embedded Coder.

Compensation & Benefits

US Salary Range: $142,800—$214,200 USD, with highly competitive equity grants and comprehensive benefits including healthcare, life insurance, generous PTO, family support, and relocation benefits. Additional perks include professional development stipends, daily meals, and commuter benefits.

This role is on-site at the Atlanta, GA location.
