About the Role

The Mission Software Engineer will solve diverse problems in networking, autonomy, systems integration, and robotics. The role demands strong systems-level knowledge and a ‘Whatever It Takes’ mindset to deliver mission-critical software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deploy mission autonomy systems and services.
  • Write and improve code to scale mission capabilities.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams for planning, building, and testing complex functionalities.
  • Create and analyze metrics for debugging and monitoring.
  • Triage issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate solutions.
  • Partner with end-users to transform needs into features.
  • Travel up to 25% for real-world deployment and testing.

Core Requirements

  • Strong background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • 4+ years professional experience with C++ or Rust.
  • Experience in building software for data processing and analysis.
  • Ability to understand and navigate complex systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Eligible for a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Preferred Requirements

  • Expertise in Physics, Mathematics, or Motion Planning for modeling & simulation.

  • Experience in software/hardware for flight systems and safety-critical functionality.

Compensation & Benefits

The U.S. salary range is $168,000 to $252,000 USD, along with competitive equity, top-tier healthcare and wellness benefits, paid caregiver leave, relocation assistance, and more.
