About the Role
The Member of Technical Staff, Security Engineering at Anchorage Digital builds and secures advanced digital asset platforms used by institutions. You will develop high-quality, secure code and collaborate with engineers to implement cryptographic controls and threat models.
Core Competencies
- Deep modern cryptography knowledge including encryption, hashing, and key management
- Expertise in secure coding in Go and Python focusing on cryptographic implementations
- Systems thinking with ability to analyze complex vulnerabilities
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot cryptographic issues
- Excellent communication to explain complex concepts both technically and non-technically
Technical Skills & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement secure cryptographic controls across infrastructure
- Review code and guide teams on security guardrails
- Build robust components for asset and data security
- Maintain threat models and manage technical debt
- Lead and contribute to significant Security Team initiatives
Organizational & Communication Expectations
You will participate in planning, contribute to strategic goals, mentor engineering teams, and ensure a security-first company culture. Collaboration across teams and clear communication is key to navigating complex challenges.
Who You Are
You have a strong foundation in applied cryptography, secure system design, and experience with technologies like Go, C++, and Python. Experience with Hardware Security Modules and various authentication mechanisms enhance your fit for this role.
