About Anchorage Digital
Anchorage Digital is building the world’s most advanced digital asset platform for institutions to participate in crypto. As a crypto platform, it enables institutions to engage with digital assets through custody, staking, trading, governance, settlement, and leading security infrastructure. Home to Anchorage Digital Bank N.A., the first federally chartered crypto bank in the U.S., Anchorage Digital is funded by leading institutions including Andreessen Horowitz, GIC, Goldman Sachs, KKR, and Visa, with its Series D valuation over $3 billion.
The Role: Member of Technical Staff, Blockchain
As a Member of Technical Staff on the Protocols team, you will be at the forefront of new cryptoasset support. This role requires continuous learning of new blockchains, technologies, and innovations to integrate them into Anchorage Digital's ecosystem. You will be critical in developing a scalable, reproducible, and reliable layer for business lines to interact with diverse blockchains. Expect to contribute to a top-notch team, help it grow through technical expertise, architecting skills, and mentorship.

- Support assets through upgrades and monitor for network-wide issues.
- Contribute with and review code across the entire stack and engineering organization.

- Find the right balance between progress (shipping quickly) and perfection (measuring twice).
- Foster an efficient, deterministic testing culture, minimizing tech debt and bureaucracy.
- Work on the front lines of the blockchain/crypto movement and SecOps innovation.
- Ship code that will impact the global economy.
Organizational Knowledge
- Influence architecture and product roadmap.
- Help scale the team.
Communication and Influence
- Collaborate cross-functionally with everyone.
Who You Are

- Have real-world experience building complex distributed systems, with a preference for Go (though languages can be learned).
- Enjoy building resilient services capable of handling varying workloads without manual intervention.
- Genuinely care about code quality and robust test infrastructure.
- Are comfortable diving deep into the stack and open-source projects to root cause bugs.
- Prioritize end-user experience and business value over "cool tech."
- Possess strong computer science fundamentals, including concurrency, algorithms, and data structures (formal CS degree not required).
- Self-describe as creative, humble, ambitious, detail-oriented, hard-working, trustworthy, eager to learn, methodical, action-oriented, and tenacious.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with applied cryptography.
- A mindset where "crypto" primarily means cryptography.
- A passion for reading blockchain protocol white papers and staying updated on cryptoasset innovations.
- A background in the finance industry.
