Role Description
The Lead Content and Instructional Specialist, Spanish Language Arts is responsible for reviewing and refining K–5 Spanish Language Arts materials to ensure they meet educator and student needs across the country. The role involves evaluating and revising instructional content for clarity, rigor, and state alignment, particularly with Texas standards such as TEKS and ELPS. You will also manage a team of content writers, providing editorial guidance and actionable feedback.
Essential Responsibilities
- Review and revise Spanish Language Arts content for clarity and accuracy.
- Ensure materials meet Amplify’s quality standards and state criteria.
- Oversee a team of content writers and provide regular feedback.
- Collaborate with English Language Arts leads for content alignment.
- Identify and adapt Spanish-language texts for lessons and assessments.
- Manage revision cycles to meet project timelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Native or near-native Spanish proficiency with strong editorial skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Spanish, Bilingual Education or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in curriculum development or review.
- Proven leadership experience in managing curriculum teams.
- Experience with adapting curriculum to state standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in educational publishing or dual-language instruction.
- Familiarity with Texas instructional landscape and digital platforms.
Compensation
The hourly rate for this contractor role ranges from $45 to $50.
