NPI Engineering Intern
Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is a world leader in interconnect solutions for Communications, Mobile, RF, Optics, and Commercial electronics markets. Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales and manufacturing locations globally.
Position Summary: NPI Engineering Intern – 2026 Summer Internship Program
This NPI Engineering Intern position is located at Amphenol Spectra-Strip in Hamden, CT. As an NPI Engineering Intern, you will gain valuable experience within a leading global organization focused on innovative interconnect solutions.
What You'll Do
- Gain Experience in product and process transfer to alternate manufacturing sites.
- Support product derivative design adaptation to current manufacturing processes.
- Assist in process documentation creation / revision and Technical Paper (TMS) creation / revision.
- Coordinate effectively with relating groups including Program Management, Product Engineering, Development Engineering, Mechanical and Signal Integrity, Geographic Manufacturing Sites, and external suppliers.
Qualifications
A strong candidate will possess the following:
- Completed freshman, sophomore, or junior year in Mechanical Engineering, or be a graduate level student studying engineering.
- A possible interest in product engineering, project management, or business-related fields.
- Demonstrated computer skills, specifically with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Experience with VISIO is considered a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
