About the Role
As an Undergrad Intern – R&D Strategy & Performance Excellence, you will be an integral member of the R&D Strategy & Performance Excellence team within the broader R&D Strategy & Operations organization. Your work will involve:
- Collaborating with multiple functions including Research & Development and the Chief Medical Office.
- Leveraging analytical, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Conducting research and quantitative analysis to drive strategic recommendations.
Key Areas of Contribution
You will work on projects across various domains:
- Strategic Transformation: Driving end-to-end transformation through digital change and process improvement.
- Capability Building: Enhancing skills and competencies with training, leadership development, and talent management strategies.
- Business Performance Excellence: Implementing processes for operational improvement using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Technology and Data Analytics: Supporting the Data and Decision Sciences team by leveraging analytics for strategic prioritization.
What We Expect of You
Amgen requires interns to meet the following basic qualifications:
- 18 years or older and currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 and completion of at least one year of study prior to commencing the internship.
- Must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship.
Preferred Qualifications
Fields of study include Business, Finance, Management Sciences, Life Sciences, and Engineering. Strong communication, organization, and a proactive attitude are essential.
