Sr. Associate - Data & Analytics at Amgen

Join Amgen’s mission to serve patients by transforming data into insights. As a member of the team, you will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and analytics products that drive global procurement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines integrating diverse sourcing systems.
  • Develop advanced analytics products including dashboards, scorecards, and predictive models.
  • Own the sourcing analytics layer (e.g., Power BI/Tableau semantic models) and act as product owner for enhancements.
  • Establish and automate KPI frameworks measuring cost savings, ESG impact, and efficiency.
  • Translate analytical insights into clear narratives and actionable recommendations.
  • Deliver training and self-service resources to enhance analytical literacy.
  • Evaluate emerging data-science techniques including generative AI and graph analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with GxP, SOX, GDPR and data privacy regulations.

Functional & Soft Skills

Must-have skills include SQL, Python or R, data modeling (Kimball, Data Vault), cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. Experience in statistical and predictive modeling, ETL tools, and compliance is essential. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are critical.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 4-6 years of progressive experience in data & analytics. A Master’s degree is preferred. Demonstrated experience in delivering analytics solutions that drive cost-savings and risk mitigation is required.
