Material Handler

AMETEK is seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to join their team and support daily warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate movement, storage, and tracking of materials and products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a safe manner and report unsafe conditions.
  • Manage quality of purchased parts and finished product.
  • Contribute to AMETEK's Continual Improvement Program.
  • Learn and comply with internal policies and procedures.
  • Handle shipping, receiving, and kitting of orders.
  • Maintain high data accuracy in inventory and WIP systems.
  • Complete cycle counts and inventory verification.
  • Process disposition reports for non-conforming parts.
  • Liaise with QA and Purchasing on material quality issues.
  • Identify and report parts shortages.

Skills/Competencies

  • Accurate and routine transaction skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and execute written instructions.
  • Teamwork in fast paced environments.
  • Capability to safely lift and handle heavy loads manually and via equipment.
  • Computer literacy in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Experience with inventory or computerized inventory control systems.
  • Customer service orientation and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Forklift operation skills.

Qualifications

High School Diploma and at least 2-3 years of related stockroom or supply chain experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
