Position Overview: Robotics Process Automation Engineer

The Robotics Process Automation Engineer supports the bank's objectives to increase process efficiency, improve quality, and reduce operational risk through automation. This role focuses on QA automation, production support, and platform maintenance.

  • Design, develop, and test automation solutions using UiPath and other tools
  • Develop well-structured, maintainable code with Python and related languages
  • Support QA testing, troubleshoot issues, and maintain RPA systems
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand automation needs and feasibility
  • Create and update solution documentation promptly

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Develop automation projects including RPA, Document Understanding, task mining, and BPM
  • Provide production support and troubleshoot development roadblocks, environment and production issues
  • Partner with LOBs for automation feasibility, development complexity analysis, and resource planning
  • Research and analyze business problems for suitable intelligent automation solutions
  • Maintain and upgrade RPA software to ensure security and stability

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

Candidates must demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. A keen interest in technology trends, detail orientation, and a desire to learn new processes are essential. Customer service and sound judgment are critical, along with the ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism.

Qualifications and Industry Experience

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in RPA automation (with advanced expertise in tools like UiPath). Experience in test automation, Document Understanding, SQL, and object-oriented programming (preferably in Python) is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
