The Role: Corporate Financial Analyst

The Corporate Financial Analyst supports all financial activities including annual budget planning, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring senior management receives timely and accurate financial information in order to drive sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general accounting duties, to include but not limited to, account reconciliations, account analysis, ratio analysis, and accrual and prepaid calculations.
  • Review all expenditures, including purchase orders, for budget adherence and accuracy, providing direction and support to departmental business owners as needed.
  • Maintain and distribute well-formatted financial reports which clearly communicate results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan.
  • Support all new business planning and forecasting.
  • Track and analyze costs to budget and forecast and provide clear written explanations.
  • Perform detailed analysis on large amounts of data/information with the ability to summarize the information in a concise and easy to understand manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and understand trends, ensuring budget targets and assumptions are achieved.
  • Produce and distribute ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferred majors include: Accounting, Finance, Business Related.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the following areas: financial analysis, reporting, and/or cost and financial modeling.
  • Experience within Managed Care strongly preferred.
  • General Ledger experience.

  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel and other Office products.
  • Strong analytical mindset.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Experience with journal entries, monthly close, account reconciliations, and general accounting concepts and principles including prepaids and accruals.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong system and database skillset.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills; seeks to understand issues and implications of actions taken.
  • Team player that is accountable.
