Americold Internship Experience (AIE)
The Americold Summer Internship Experience is a 12-week, full time, paid internship that takes place over the summer term in various locations throughout the country. Interns have the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the supply chain industry, work on challenging industry-specific projects, and collaborate with organizational leaders, colleagues, and peers.
What You’ll Do
As an IT Network Admin Intern, you will assist the Americold Network Operations team and Network Manager with various tasks including:
- Develop reports to analyze bandwidth utilization
- Review critical switch logs
- Help with SD-WAN deployment
- Plan for circuit upgrades and evaluate the current alerting strategy in the monitoring system
- Collaborate with Network Operation and Hosting teams to review network documentation including IP tracking of the physical network
What Experience You Need
Applicants should be current juniors or seniors (preferably rising seniors) enrolled in an accredited college/university for an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field. Exposure to Microsoft Office (including Visio) and fundamental networking concepts, routing and switching (Cisco), network design, and IPV4 subnetting are required.
