Position: IT Security Analyst

Are you passionate about cybersecurity and ready to protect mission-critical systems and proprietary data at an innovative engineering firm? Your expertise will directly support groundbreaking engineering projects.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze network traffic for threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing.
  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure team to review firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Maintain a Secure by Design approach.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents.
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to secure sensitive project data.
  • Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies.
  • Demonstrate passion for learning new technologies and teamwork.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT security roles.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
  • Experience with SIEM tools including query development.
  • Basic understanding of NIST, SOC2, CMMC or similar frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+.
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure).
  • Scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell).
  • Exposure to engineering software platforms (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture.
