Overview
American Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking a Software Engineer in Test Intern to join our Consumer Technology – QA (CRQ) department. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience maintaining and developing software test automation tools using the latest Microsoft technologies.
Compensation
Hourly Wage Range: $20.75 to $25.00. Compensation depends on qualifications, education, skill set, experience, and internal equity.
Remote Work Considerations
This is a remote/WFH position. Selected candidates will be trained remotely and must work from a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment. A stable internet connection with a minimum download speed of 50 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps (100 down/20 up recommended) is required for video meetings.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to enterprise-level testing of web applications.
- Write test cases and procedures.
- Run and maintain test automation tools.
- Develop test automation scripts.
- Project scope depends on the intern’s experience and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- High school diploma required.
- Coursework in computer science or a technical field.
- Experience with object-oriented programming in academic, hobbyist, or commercial settings.
- Exposure to software quality assurance and working with Web Services and APIs.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, verbal and written communication skills.
- Team-oriented self-starter with responsibility.

Physical and Environmental Requirements
This role is primarily sedentary with work-from-home environment requirements. Applicants must be able to use a telephone and computer, and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
