The Opportunity: Bilingual Online Part-Time Management Faculty

APUS is seeking dedicated Bilingual Online Part-Time Management Faculty fluent in both English and Spanish. This role involves teaching courses predominantly in Spanish, supporting a diverse student population, and fostering academic excellence within the Community of Inquiry Framework. Faculty play a vital role in engaging, challenging, and supporting students in a rewarding online learning environment, contributing to effectiveness and excellence in teaching and student retention.

Faculty Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Complete the “Engaging the First‐Year Student Certification” course (APUS110) within six months of the hire date.
  • Graduate Faculty must complete the Graduate Faculty Certification (APUS501) within 90 days of hire.
  • Comply with and be bound by all APUS policies regarding work product and intellectual property rights as outlined in relevant handbooks and course assignments.
  • Maintain expertise in your discipline and adhere to APUS guidelines, processes, and methods.
  • Remain responsive to mentoring and coaching that fosters ongoing professional growth.
  • Perform duties in a remote, professional working environment of your choice.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Management, Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Proficiency testing will be part of the application process.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English and Spanish with the ability to convey complex information clearly and accurately across diverse audiences.
  • College-level teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five years of experience in leading or managing an organization.
  • Online teaching experience.
  • Experience supporting or engaging with Spanish-speaking students.
  • Record of excellence in teaching.

Areas of Expertise

  • Demonstrated organizational leadership/management experience.
  • Organizational Research.
