Overview

As a Senior AI Governance Specialist with American Family Insurance, you will establish AI Governance practices that guide the responsible development and use of AI. You will partner with stakeholders to design and implement systems that ensure trust and safety by embedding transparency, accountability, security, fairness, and human-centricity throughout the AI system lifecycle, while mitigating risks in AI applications. You will report to the Director, Data & AI Governance.

Work Location

If located within 50 miles of one of our core locations (35 miles in Boston), you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034. Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $86,000.00 - $142,000.00. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates. Primary Accountabilities

• Implement and mature the AI Governance program.
• Ensure adherence to AI Policy & Standards and enforce controls.
• Update guidelines in line with laws and regulations.
• Respond to external inquiries and evaluate third-party AI requests.
• Socialize best practices and maintain ongoing training programs.
• Participate in peer reviews and integrate with Corporate Strategy.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills

Required skills include customer-driven solutions experience, expertise in AI development methodologies, leadership abilities, clear communication, and a solid understanding of insurance concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in designing and managing AI governance platforms, dashboards, and registries; working with cross-functional teams; and testing generative AI systems is preferred.

Additional Information
