Overview
The Lead Security & Risk Analyst position at American Family Insurance supports enterprise-wide digital risk and compliance initiatives. The role focuses on leading the development and adoption of an enterprise internal control repository, policy governance, regulatory consultation, and assessment coordination.
Primary Accountabilities
- Lead the Control Repository Workstream: Design, implement, and maintain a centralized control repository.
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with control owners, risk teams, audit, engineering, and policy stakeholders.
- Support Digital Risk & Compliance: Contribute to policy governance, regulatory consultation, and assessment coordination.
- Enable Education and Adoption: Develop guidance, training, and communications for risk-aware decision-making.
- Advance Governance and Reporting: Identify gaps and support continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities
This role also oversees planning and execution of compliance audits, risk assessment, evaluation of risk relative to company strategy, and stakeholder engagement to identify potential risks.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in IT Risk Management and Information Systems Auditing
- In-depth understanding of IT risk and control frameworks
- Experience with control lifecycle management and governance
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
Working Conditions & Additional Information
This hybrid role requires a minimum of 10 office days per month from approved locations in Madison, WI or Boston, MA. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office (35-mile radius for Boston/Chicago). American Family Insurance offers a comprehensive benefits package and relocation support for eligible candidates. Sponsorship is not available unless specified.
