Role Overview
The Account Development Manager is responsible for the retention and growth of existing US Small & Medium Enterprise key client relationships. Operating within a defined geographical territory, you will engage with clients face-to-face to uncover opportunities and deliver a suite of cash flow and payment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning: Identify under-utilized accounts and track opportunities using CRM.
- Relationship Management: Proactively engage clients to uncover and drive growth.
- Client Solutions: Use consultative selling to expand charge volume and onboard vendors.
- Negotiation & Closing: Up-sell and cross-sell to meet client needs.
- Compliance: Adhere to American Express Code of Conduct and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Strong customer relationship skills, consultative selling, objection handling, and negotiation are key. A track record of excellent sales performance (3-5+ years) and familiarity with commercial product suites, CRM tools (ONE.force, C360), and regulatory compliance are essential.
