Role Description

In the role of Director - Data Governance & Management (Data Steward), you will lead a team responsible for ensuring day-to-day compliance with the Enterprise Data Risk Management Policy. You will oversee identification of critical data, maintain data definitions, classify data, support data sourcing and usage requests, evaluate data risk controls, and manage data incident remediation. You will partner with business units, technology teams, and product/platform teams to implement the data governance strategy and drive consistency and usability of product data across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Advance data governance principles, policies, and programs.
  • Manage all Data Risks for the business unit per Enterprise Data Risk Management Policy.
  • Establish, maintain, and test controls to manage data risk.
  • Facilitate data incident capture, remediation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third parties to ensure compliance.
  • Develop key metrics scorecards and communicate program status.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in large scale/enterprise data projects; 4+ years in formal data governance.
  • Strong expertise in data governance, management, and risk strategies.
  • Senior level program management with global business unit exposure.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead diverse teams.
  • Experience with incident management, data architecture, and compliance.
