The Internal Audit Group operates across nine countries with 300+ team members. The mission is to protect and enhance organizational value and to influence risk management through independent audits and advisory services.
Role Description
The Audit Director Project Governance will be based in New York City, Salt Lake City, or Phoenix in a hybrid setup. You will lead a portfolio of audits focusing on project management frameworks, risk taxonomy, and regulatory expectations including OCC Heightened Standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing multiple simultaneous audit projects across business areas
- Specializing in specific lines of business with a horizontal risk view
- Collaborating on the annual Audit Plan and regulatory activities
- Leading team feedback, post-audit discussions, and professional development
- Championing continuous improvement through industry trends and regulatory updates
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Oversee audit professionals across varying complex audits
- Develop and execute a risk-based audit portfolio
- Review corrective action plans and CAE audit reports
- Foster senior relationships and adjust approaches based on business changes
- Mentor and develop audit staff while recruiting new talent
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have 8+ years of audit experience, preferably with Big Four/C-SIB and strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in risk-based audit practices, control theory, and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, PMBOK) is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates have experience in managing large-scale programs, enterprise PMOs, and data analytics. Familiarity with project management tools like Clarity, Jira, and MS Project, as well as professional certifications such as PMP, is an asset.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this role is $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually, plus bonus, equity (if applicable), and comprehensive benefits including retirement match, health coverage, wellness programs, and flexible working options.
