About the Role
The Analyst Risk Management role at American Express is a key position within the US Commercial Capacity team. In this role, you will drive Commercial Limits Underwriting strategies and help grow the portfolio with transformational ideas and new capabilities while ensuring a world-class customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, RPDS & GSG teams.
- Create and execute underwriting strategies.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
- Communicate effectively with executive leadership.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include an undergraduate degree in statistics, econometrics, operations research, mathematics, data science, engineering, business management or a related quantitative field. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and an innovative approach to solving problems.
Preferred skills include knowledge of SQL and Python, and understanding business financials and risk from business documents.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $65,500 to $102,500 annually, plus bonus and benefits. Additional benefits include competitive base salaries, bonus incentives, a 6% company match on retirement savings, financial coaching, comprehensive medical/dental/vision/life insurance, flexible working models (onsite, hybrid, or virtual), and over 20 weeks paid parental leave.
Work Environment
American Express offers a flexible working model through Amex Flex. Depending on role and business needs, you may work onsite, in a hybrid model, or fully virtually.
