Team & Role Overview

The Global Strategy, Operations & Performance (GSOP) team within the Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS) business unit functions as a Center of Excellence. The Risk & Remediation PMO within this team focuses on driving process excellence, legal entity governance, 1LOD Compliance, and data governance, managing large risk-related initiatives for GMNS.

Position Summary

The Analyst, Risk and Remediation PMO will support the GMNS Guardian International PMO team in delivering the high-priority Project Guardian. This role is central to advancing an elevated risk management model within GMNS through rigorous program management and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Delivery Support: Track milestones, timelines, and deliverables while maintaining the master delivery plan.
  • Governance Coordination: Organise governance activities, produce meeting packs, and capture follow-ups.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular status updates and dashboards for stakeholders with risk escalations.
  • RAID Management: Maintain and update the Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies log.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the day-to-day point of contact for delivery leads and risk teams.
  • Documentation: Maintain organized program documentation for accuracy and accessibility.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project management/coordination and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare materials for senior stakeholders and committees.
  • Experience in risk and control or regulatory environments is a plus.
  • Flexibility with working hours for international coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree level qualification. Employment eligibility to work in the UK is required as American Express will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.
