Role Overview
The Analyst, Enterprise Risk Management at Amex Bank of Canada is part of the Global Risk and Compliance organization. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Risk Management, you will be an individual contributor responsible for establishing, maintaining, and overseeing the bank’s risk management framework in alignment with OSFI/FCAC expectations and the Canada Bank Act.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance and execute the Operational Risk Management Framework.
- Conduct independent oversight of the First Line of Defense risks.
- Extract and analyze financial and statistical data for risk trend assessment.
- Aggregate and report risks for senior management and committees.
- Develop dashboards and management reports on risk trends and controls.
- Track, assess, and remediate identified risk exposures.
- Collaborate with 1LOD and stakeholders to provide risk insights.
- Support continuous improvement of risk culture and compliance initiatives.
- Assist with internal/external audits, regulatory reviews, and risk assessments.
Minimum Qualifications and Key Skills
- Degree in math, business, statistics, economics, engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 1-5 years of experience in risk management with strong analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Python, and data analysis software.
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects.
