As a Software Engineer I on the Technology team, you will develop and maintain solutions using IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) to support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and investment optimization.

Function Description

You will work within a dynamic team to create planning, forecasting and reporting solutions for diverse business units using IBM Planning Analytics, Cognos BI, OBIEE, and Tableau. Your efforts directly support corporate planning and risk finance teams.

Purpose of the Role

Develop and maintain solutions on the IBM Planning Analytics toolset – TM1, ensuring robust financial process management, enhancement, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage financial processes including reporting, planning, forecasting, long range planning, and investment optimization.
  • Design and implement new financial processes and enhance existing ones using IBM Cognos TM1.
  • Improve current financial processes via automation and enhanced controls.
  • Support cross-functional projects and provide ongoing customer support, enhancements, and training.
  • Troubleshoot issues and ensure strong data integrity across solutions.

Critical Factors to Success

Deliver end-to-end design, build, and implementation of financial solutions while consistently looking for opportunities to drive value to customers by leveraging existing and new capabilities. Independence and capacity to lead cross-organizational activities are key.

Experience & Education

  • 1-3 years of development experience on IBM Planning Analytics – TM1.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/BTech).

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Strong experience with IBM Cognos TM1 including TI processes, rules, and websheets.
  • Experience with Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) reports and dashboards.
  • Experience with Planning Analytics for Excel (PAX).
  • Understanding of financial reporting, planning, and forecasting.
  • Problem solving, data integrity, and process automation skills.
